Tigers fall to Blue Springs South in title game

Blue Springs South improved to 12-1 on the season with a 15-4 victory over Ozark High School in the championship game of the Blue Division on Saturday at Hillcrest on a cold wet final in the Red & Blue Classic Tournament in Springfield.

Blue Springs South finished with 11 hits, with home runs from Blaine Dalton and Robbie Payton keying the winning attack.

Ozark got a pair of home runs from Brett Neill, both 2-run shots.

The Tigers fall to 9-4 on the season as a 6-game winning streak was snapped.

Corey Wiley had 2 hits for Ozark while Levi Presley, Ryne Armstrong and Matt Jordan each singled in the game off winning pitching Kirk Huismann.

Matt Jordan went the distance on the mound for Ozark, and was the victim of 5 errors.

The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday with a key Central Ozark Conference contest versus Nixa at Ozark at 4:30 p.m., April 15.
