Lady Tigers top Joplin 2-0
The Ozark High School Lady Tigers broke open a scoreless duel in the second half with a pair of late goals, topping visiting Joplin 2-0 on April 14.
The Lady Tigers improve to 8-1 on the season, extending their winning streak to 8 in a row. Ozark will travel to Springfield's Cooper Field to face Greenwood Tuesday, April 15 at 5 p.m. in a non-conference match. There will be only a varsity match on Tuesday.
Monday, the Lady Tigers JV improved to 8-0 on the season with a 5-0 win over Joplin,
In the varsity match, the teams were scoreless at halftime.
Megan Stodden put Ozark on top, with an assist from Megan Gunnels.
Alicia Collard added an insurance goal in the second half for the Lady Tigers, putting in a rebound when Megan Stodden attempted a shot which bounced off the Joplin goal keeper.
In the JV match, Mollie Killion scored 3 goals. On one of her scores, Danielle Poivre assisted Killion. Taylor Jordan also scored for Ozark, and her score was assisted by Mollie Killion. Danielle Poivre scored with an assist by Kelsie Brown, as well.
