Lady Tigers now 11-1 after topping Harrisonville 4-0
The Ozark Lady Tigers posted a 4-0 shut out victory over Harrisonville to open play in the Sedalia Smith-Cotton High School Soccer Tournament on Friday, April 18.
Ozark improves to 11-1 on the season, winning for the 11th consecutive match.
The Lady Tigers will be back in action Saturday, April 19, facing Columbia Hickman at 9 a.m. and Warrensburg at 2 p.m. in the tournament at Sedalia.
In the opening minutes of the win over Harrisonville, Megan Gunnels scored with an assist from Alicia Collard to put the Lady Tigers up 1-0.
Late in the first half, Mollie Killion scored after a fine cross from Brittany Mathews, giving the Lady Tigers a 2-0 lead.
Ozark goal keeper Paige Hemphill was a big reason for the shut out, with numerous saves in the match.
In the second half, Brittany Mathews scored after an assist from Rachel Haden to put the Lady Tigers up 3-0.
Alicia Collard capped off the scoring in the match with an Ozark goal, getting an assist from Evie Curtis.
