Lady Tigers fall at Waynesville

The Ozark Lady Tigers fell to host Waynesville High School in the 2008 season opening soccer match on Tuesday.

Waynesville improved to 2-0 on the season with the 3-2 victory.

The teams were scoreless at halftime, then the Lady Tigers broke the ice with an unassisted goal by Katie Pritchard.

Waynesville went up 2-0 with an unassisted goal by Natasha Lord.

Waynesville scored what would be the deciding goal when Erica Combs scored with an assist from Katie Pritchard.

Ozark fought back with a goal from Brittany Matthews, assisted by Megan Gunnels.

Brittany Matthews scored again, an unassisted goal, to cut the lead to 3-2.

On Friday, Ozark will travel to Willard for a Central Ozark Conference match starting at 4 p.m.

Ozark will host a Junior Varsity Tournament on Saturday.

On Monday, the varsity Lady Tigers will play their home opener, hosting West Plains at 4:30 p.m.
